React Presents - News Flash

The start of a new month, of course, calls for new music. So, we won’t keep you waiting. Check out the latest singles, albums, and EP’s dropping today.

2 Chainz – Rap Or Go To The League
Following up from “Pretty Girls Like Trap Music,” 2 Chainz presents us with “Rap or Go To The League.” The title here plays off of the common comparison between rap stars and professional basketball players. Chance the Rapper, Kodak Black, Ariana Grande, and Young Thug are just some of the alluring features on the 14 song tracklist.

Solange – When I Get Home
She’s back people. Solange Knowles casually dropped her first work in three years since the magnum opus “A Seat at the Table.” Vocal features and production credits from Dev Hynes, Tyler the Creator, and Playboi Carti dabble the tracks on this album. From start to finish, this album gives us a little of what we’ve been missing in R&B and Soul, packing a mighty punch at the end. Listen via Spotify below.

Mansionair – Shadowboxer
Call them whatever you want, but Mansionair is an explosive blending of genres; electronic, indie, alternative, pop bundled into a live act fit for the stage. Created over a period of three years across a variety of exotic (and not so ideal places), the group takes a lighter hand to this body of work. Listen to the new album below.

Weezer – The Black Album
We have had the original blue album, red album, green album, white album, and heck even a teal album. Now, we have finally gotten to the black belt phase of Weezer’s career. After all these years, is River’s Cuomo as ingenious and talented as we think? Or are we just easily tricked by basic color theory marketing and love a good color-coded scheme? You can tell us after listening below.

Lemaitre – Fast Lovers (EP)
The Norwegian duo known as Lemaitre are quite literally the masters of funk-infused french tinged pop music. With a striking balance between your typical indie alternative group from the 2000s and the tempo of your favorite rapper, Lemaitre is not an act to overlook.

Green Velvet & Layton Giordani – FUZION
As one of the hottest acts right now, this dual track between Green Velvet and Layton Giordani is well recieved. We’ll let it speak for itself.

QUIX – Illusions (Remixes Vol. 1)
Released on Dim Mak, Steve Aoki’s label, a series of Quix’s track “Illusions” is set to drop. Luca Lush, Kuur, and more have given the track their own taste. Listen below on Apple Music.

Mielo – Scar (feat. Cailee Rae)
Chicago’s own producer Mielo has dropped the first single to his upcoming EP today, Scars featuring vocals from Cailee Rae. Haunting and ephemeral, this future bass track is eligible for a spot in your library alongside more of his dope tracks. Take a listen below.
