React Presents - News Flash

On Friday, February 24, decorated pop singer Dua Lipa will be starting her very first headlining North American tour at Chicago’s Lincoln Hall in anticipation of the June 2 release of her debut, self-titled album! Tickets to the show are now sold out.

Pop songstress Dua Lipa made the exciting announcement as a follow-up to the reveal of her debut live performances at Governors Ball and Bonnaroo this summer. Her international ring of shows at such esteemed venues as SXSW, Lollapalooza and Glastonbury have gained the English vocalist a cascade of media attention and an ever-expanding base of dedicated listeners.

After growing up between London and Kosovo, Lipa began her music career posting Youtube covers of her favorite artists like Christina Aguilera and Nelly Furtado. She was picked up by Warner Music in 2015, where she released several of her first singles to high acclaim. Her fifth single, “Blow Your Mind (Mwah)” was the first to chart on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, and quickly topped the Billboard Dance Club Songs and Mainstream Top 40 lists. She teamed up with Sean Paul in November of 2016 for a fiery collaboration, and was featured in a solo documentary by The Fader in December.

With several NME Award nominations and a European Border Breakers Award under her belt, Lipa now moves into 2017 with high velocity and a greatly anticipated album on the way. Her North American tour will touch down in many of the region’s biggest cities and musical melting pots. As we move closer to her premiere stop at Lincoln Hall, take a listen below to her most recent single release.
