The 2015 Chicago Bluegrass & Blues fest is back with more bands, more nights, and more venues, expanding to six venues and 22 shows throughout January and February! CBB is anchored in back-to-back three-night runs by The String Cheese Incident and Steve Earle, both making their first CBB appearances.Lucero also takes its first headlining turn with a date at Concord Music Hall, while Robert Randolph & the Family Band share the stage with Soulive’s Eric Krasno at City Winery. The fest kicks off at SPACE on January 9th, as Eddy “Chief” Clearwater celebrates his 80th birthday and third time on the CBB stage. Greensky Bluegrass returns for the second consecutive year, wrapping up the series six weeks later at the House of Blues.

Aiming to showcase the musical styles that have evolved from bluegrass and blues culture, CBB was born in 2008 of a collaboration between Mike Raspatello, React Presents, and Silver Wrapper. Since then, the fest has hosted acts like The Avett Brothers, Bela Fleck, Grace Potter, Del McCoury, Edward Sharpe, David Grisman, Drive-By Truckers, Dr. Dog, Dawes, Honeyboy Edwards, Joe Pug, and The Skatalites, making stops at the Auditorium Theater, Lincoln Hall, House of Blues, Congress Theater, Aragon Ballroom, Concord Music Hall, SPACE, City Winery, Tonic Room, and Double Door.
