CBS aired the 61st Annual Grammy Awards Sunday night, February 10 and music lover’s all over the country tuned in to watch Alicia Keys host. Key’s also performed herself, singing a rendition of songs she “wish she wrote” on a dual piano, including tracks from Juicewrld to Lauryn Hill.
French electronic duo, Justice, took home the award for “Best Dance/ Electronic Album with their album “Woman Worldwide.” Dua Lipa, Mark Ronson, and Diplo also took the award for Best Dance Track for the song igniting the airways since summer, “One Kiss.”
It’s hard to say what the best moment of the night was between a Dolly Parton super jam, J Lo’s Motown tribute, Cardi B winning “Rap Album of the Year,” and the sheer amount of amazing women who brought home hardware last night. But what we can say that is that it was a great year for rap, dance music, and female artists who were recognized by the academy.
Head over to the Grammy’s official site to see the rest of the nominee’s and winners from Sunday evening.
