React Presents - News Flash

[ Update: January 28 2016 ] Concord Music Hall box office will be accepting cash donations through Friday January 29. We are encouraging any and all to stop by React HQ (W. Kedzie + N. May Streets) on Saturday, January 30 between 9-10am where we will be accepting bottled water and cash donations. We will be serving hot coffee and donuts to those who stop by.

Though Flint, Michigan has been amidst a clean water crisis for over a year, it is now coming to a very dangerous head and Flint is in the thoughts of many across the nation. React Presents, The MID, and Concord Music Hall are joining forces to collect bottled water and gather resources to help our neighbors in need.  While this is a major crisis for any community of the world, it hits close to home for us at React, as one of our employees was born in Flint, and still counts family members and close acquaintances in the city.

We urge our friends and fans to contribute in any way possible.  Join our efforts by donating to our collection point at the React headquarters at N. May and W. Kinzie Streets in Chicago between 9-10am on Saturday, January 30th. We are aligning with Chicago Firefighter, Eric Washington, where he will be collecting bottled water at his alma mater Hyde Park Academy High School from 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday January 30th. Can’t make the date? Here is Washington’s GoFundMe

More details on the collection will follow, along with other efforts that will be put in place by React, The MID, and Concord Music Hall in light of this crisis.
